She's among the most popular artists that have come out from American Idol. To achieve her success she played around with various musical styles, and explored themes. The uniqueness of her voice and singing abilities earned her critical praise, as well as several important awards. Her most notable achievement is the fact that she was awarded 3 Grammy awards. She has also appeared in television and films. She is also the author of the book for children River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with various charities.
