Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th, 1967) is an American actor and a singer. She began her acting career in her teens. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for her role as the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. Her family has given her three brothers. When she was a teenager was a nightclub singer and would sneak out of the family home to perform. Kari Wuhrer was an American singer, model and actress. She began her acting career at Wooster School when she was 13 years old. She is born a Brookfield resident born in Brookfield Connecticut, on the 28th day of April, 1967. Her father is a German American policeman and a salesperson for autos. Kari was born into an extended family that included four members. Kari was a nightclub singer when she was a teenager. Her habit was to sneak away from home and perform. Kari, who was then thirteen years old, was enrolled at the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She took drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor who was known for her work as Uta. Kari got into acting while she was still in the teen years. She had her first major appearance in the form of MTV Remote Control in 1987.
