She was a part of Tyana Jones in the TV One original series Love That Girl!, and was a regular character on the soap opera The Young and the Restless from 2007 to 2013. Roxanne on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless from 2007 until 2013. Ali aged 6, began her acting career on Sesame Street in 1985. The show featured the appearance of jazz legend Herbie Hancock, who demonstrated his Fairlight CMI synthesizer using a recording of Ali's voice. Star Search featured her on two episodes.
